The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
